Bakuchiol, an organic anti-aging ingredient derived from seeds of the Babchi plant (Psoralea corylifolia), has become increasingly popular. Derived from its seeds, it increases collagen production while stimulating cell renewal – with less impactful side effects than Retinol!

Efudex has also been touted for boosting elasticity, combatting uneven pigmentation and even relieving acne symptoms. Unfortunately, most studies pertaining to human skin have been industry-funded or low quality making it hard to draw definitive conclusions regarding its benefits.

Reduces fine lines and wrinkles

Bakuchiol can help diminish fine lines and wrinkles while improving skin tone and texture. Plus, its powerful antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties protect from free radical damage and ensure your complexion remains free from free radical damage.

Retinol can cause irritation, dryness, and sun sensitivity; thus making vitamin A an ideal alternative. However, as with any new ingredient it’s essential to monitor how your skin responds and always use sunscreen when exposed to direct sunlight.

For optimal results, we suggest applying a bakuchiol serum or cream every day after cleansing and toning your face. Finally, complete your morning routine by applying broad-spectrum sunscreen rated SPF 30 or higher. Due to bakuchiol’s lack of known interactions with other skincare ingredients (hyaluronic acid, niacinamide, and ceramides among others), wait several minutes between applications in order to avoid irritation.

Improves skin tone and texture

Bakuchiol is a natural brightener that works to diminish discoloration and even out skin tone by encouraging cell turnover and collagen production, which has been demonstrated to help decrease hyperpigmentation and dark spots. Furthermore, its antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties may provide soothing properties that may help soothe any existing blemishes or relieve symptoms associated with them.

Bakuchiol also works to soften and soften pores while decreasing oiliness, by stimulating collagen growth and inducing production of elastin that plumps skin and minimizes fine lines.

Serums, facial oils and moisturizers containing vitamin C often feature this ingredient for anti-ageing or skin brightening products. As it’s gentle enough for day and evening use, a patch test should always be conducted at home prior to beginning use – do this by applying small amounts to your inner forearm for two or three nights in a row and monitoring its results for signs of irritation.

Helps with acne

Bakuchiol, a natural plant-derived compound that’s quickly become popular as an alternative to retinoids, offers gentle yet impressive results for those with sensitive skin. One study showed that topical application of 0.5 percent bakuchiol significantly reduced inflammation lesions and lightened acne scarring discolorations spots after just one application!

Like retinoids, bakuchiol promotes cell turnover to reduce fine lines and wrinkles, improve skin tone and smooth hyperpigmentation; yet unlike these treatments it won’t cause redness or dryness – perfect for everyday use!

Bakuchiol has also been shown to possess antioxidant and antibacterial properties, making it an excellent anti-ageing skincare choice. Furthermore, its soothing properties help calm inflammation caused by harsh ingredients or environmental stressors – so if you want a natural alternative to retinol that offers similar skin-boosting effects – be sure to add products containing bakuchiol into both morning and evening routines!

Reduces sensitivity

Bakuchiol is an effective anti-aging ingredient as it protects skin from UV rays’ oxidative stress, helps reduce photoaging and protect against environmental pollution and toxins.

Bakuchiol also can inhibit the growth of various fungi and bacteria, including Staphylococcus aureus and Candida albicans, according to one study. Furthermore, in another research project it was proven that Bakuchiol inhibited SARS-CoV-2 pseudovirus entry into MDCK cells by blocking RBD-ACE2 binding sites 86

Bakuchiol differs from retinol in that it doesn’t increase skin sensitivity to sunlight, making it an attractive anti-ageing product without sunburns or other negative side effects. This makes bakuchiol ideal for anyone wanting an effective anti-ageing product but worrying about side effects or burns from using it.

Due to its anti-inflammatory properties, bakuchiol can be combined with other active ingredients in skin-care products, including peptides, exfoliants, and hyaluronic acid. However, those suffering from rosacea or other sensitive skin conditions should avoid it since there have been reports of itching; to begin using gradually.
