Name and packaging clearly state that Starburst Choozers is suitable for vegetarians. Additionally, both versions (UK vs US) are free from artificial flavors or colours while Starburst Choozers were added in 2007.
Jolly Rancher
Jolly Rancher candy features hard candies, gummies, jellies and lollipops with fruity flavors that have become iconic over the decades. Established in Colorado during the 1950s and now owned by Hershey, it is famous for its fruity tastes and diverse product portfolio. Partnering with Little Big Brands for revamping packaging and visual identity.
Classic hard candies from this brand include watermelons, strawberries, orange tangerine, cherry and green apple flavors. In addition, there is also a line of sugar free hard candies. Their new product, Awesome Twosome Chews offers consumers a taste of two flavors in just one bite!
While orange candy doesn’t have quite as much of a vibrant fruity punch as other candies do, it still provides an enjoyable candy. Green apple flavor may not recall an exact sour Granny Smith fruit but still taste delicious; and blue raspberry is unique as it doesn’t resemble any real fruits at all!
Sugarpova
Maria Sharapova has always been known as an astute marketer, earning top paychecks from TAG Heuer, Nike and Sony. Now she is branching out into another venture – Sugarpova candy made in Spain by Fini is her new venture.
The 12-flavor collection caters specifically to “feminine” audiences with names like Flirty, Cheeky, Sporty and Chic. Gummies in these flavors come in shapes such as lips, bears and tennis balls – with part of the proceeds going toward creating a scholarship fund for Chernobyl-affected areas in Belarus.
Packaging is sleek and modern, featuring resealable plastic pouches in bright colors for easy resealing and bright flavors that could possibly justify the $13 price tag. However, I found no one of the flavors quite fulfilling my expectation of something I could find at my local supermarket for $8.
