Vitamin B12

Vitamin B12 can be found both naturally in animal products and added to certain plant-based ones, providing important support for protein metabolism and red blood cell development. As it’s water-soluble, any excess amounts leave through urine. Those at risk for deficiency include vegans who avoid animal products altogether, those suffering from digestive diseases like Crohn’s disease or celiac disease and those undergoing gastric surgery who may experience difficulty absorbing B12. Likewise those diagnosed with pernicious anemia – an autoimmune disorder where intrinsic factor production stops them absorbing B12 from food or supplements alike.

Some gummies contain sugar, which may interfere with blood glucose levels in those living with diabetes or hypoglycemia. To avoid such issues, look for options made with less sugar or alternative sweeteners like stevia and xylitol instead of plain white flour.

Vitamin D
