Feminine care products such as tampons, pads, panty liners and feminine washes can all help support proper period health. At AWHS participants most often opt for regular tampons inserted directly into the vagina to absorb menstrual flow; there are different absorbency levels available and they should always be discarded safely after use.

Divyne products provide external hydration that soothes skin. Unfortunately, however, these don’t address pH balance or support the microbiome.

1. Dove Beauty Bar for Sensitive Skin

Dove Beauty Bar for Sensitive Skin offers gentle cleansing for daily use on your face, hands and body. This hypoallergenic beauty bar from Dove contains classic Dove cleansers and 1/4 moisturizing cream in an unscented, dermatologist recommended formula that won’t dry out your sensitive skin like ordinary soap might. Dove’s Sensitive Skin Hand Wash is an essential addition to female personal care products for daily washing or hand wash for sensitive skin that works beautifully alongside other Dove soaps like Body Wash for Sensitive Skin and Shampoo for Sensitive Hair. Use it in guest bathrooms at bed and breakfasts, day spas and boutiques so customers and guests receive the confidence-boosting skin care they need to feel good in themselves and feel beautiful – PETA cruelty-free and dermatologist tested!

2. The Honey Pot Sensitive Foaming Feminine Wash

Honey Pot’s sensitive foaming intimate wash is a widely beloved, science-backed, dermatologist tested and hypoallergenic intimate wash that gently cleans even the most sensitive areas of the body. A favorite among consumers, it was denied by the Federal District Court as Plaintiffs established standing by showing they purchased Products under false representation from Defendant and paid a premium as a result – this threshold for showing injury in fact during motion-to-dismiss stage is easily met.

3. Lactomedi

Lactomedi is unlike drugstore feminine washes, which may cause irritation and disrupt your natural pH balance, in that it contains soothing ingredients like Witch Hazel. This natural astringent helps relieve itching while Tea Tree Oil prevents yeast infections; in addition, Lactomedi contains Omega fatty acids to nourish and hydrate dry skin without disrupting its microbiome.

URO probiotics may provide relief for odor, irritation and infections; however they take weeks to work as they must travel through your digestive system before reaching vaginal microbiomes. Lactomedi’s gel uses a syringe-like applicator to deliver probiotics directly where needed – some women report feeling a difference within 72 hours (or even overnight!).

If you’re experiencing odor, irritation or infections in your vaginal region, Lactomedi can provide immediate relief and address its source. Formulated by OB/GYN specialists to support healthy microbiomes and vaginal health. This product makes an ideal alternative to Divyne which only hydrates but does nothing to combat discomfort or odor.

4. Lavera Sensitive Foaming Feminine Wash

Many “feminine” or “intimate” washes claim to provide cleaning and health benefits, yet gynecologists suggest these products could actually cause more harm than good. Washes containing fragrances, additives and chemicals can disrupt the natural bacteria found within your vulva leading to irritations, infections and allergic reactions – and instead recommend using gentle soap, washcloth or your hands when cleansing the vulva.

Feminine hygiene is of utmost importance, yet must be designed and clinically tested carefully so as to not disrupt normal vulvar microflora. Lavera’s Basis Sensitiv cleanser features organic aloe vera and organic almond oil to gently cleanse while leaving behind soft and smooth skin. Free from parabens, SLS and mineral oils with plenty of product to cover extended use – made with organic ingredients in eco-friendly packaging!
