CBD has shown promise as a natural way to treat mood disorders, leading many living with these conditions to explore this natural approach to treatment. A 2020 literature review suggests CBD may reduce symptoms of depression and anxiety; furthermore, one small 2019 study concluded it can also decrease nightmares related to posttraumatic stress disorder in adults.

Anxiety

CBD, or Cannabidiol, is an all-natural compound that may help alleviate anxiety. It interacts with the endocannabinoid system in our bodies, and is commonly found in hemp plants. Supplements, capsules, creams and oils containing CBD may be taken orally; some individuals may require other medications in conjunction with CBD as part of their treatment plan; as always it’s wise to consult your healthcare provider prior to making changes.

Preclinical and clinical studies demonstrate that CBD has anxiolytic properties and reduces anxiety in humans, including symptoms like tight muscles and increased heart rate. CBD does this by activating serotonin receptors in the brain to increase serotonin levels and decrease stress hormone release; in addition, CBD may prevent its breakdown into anandamide which promotes happiness while relieving stress.

Type 1 diabetes

Type 1 diabetes is a lifelong autoimmune disease in which your pancreas cannot produce insulin to manage blood sugar levels properly, leading to serious health complications. CBD may help manage this condition by decreasing resistance and increasing production. Furthermore, CBD may assist in lowering blood glucose levels as well as alleviating symptoms like changes in appetite, fatigue and diarrhoea.

Atkins can also help lower blood pressure and cholesterol, helping you sleep more soundly at night – this will ease some of the stress caused by managing diabetes. Furthermore, its anti-inflammatories may reduce pain associated with this disease so you can enjoy life again!

Acne

CBD has been shown to be effective against various skin conditions, ranging from psoriasis and eczema to cystic acne. When choosing products for yourself, be sure to select products tailored specifically for your skin type – for those with oily skin light serums are likely preferable; while those with dry skin might benefit more from heavier creams.

Apart from its anti-inflammatory benefits, CBD also assists in controlling sebum production – one of the main contributors to acne. Furthermore, its antimicrobial properties help fight bacteria that contributes to breakouts – providing a great natural alternative to harsher skincare products and antibiotics.

Psoriasis

Psoriasis is an autoimmune skin condition that causes itchy and flaky patches on your skin, and while there are clinical treatments available to them, many patients choose alternative therapeutic options like cannabis-based products as a more suitable way of managing their condition.

CBD may help treat psoriasis by binding to CB2 receptors and inducing inflammation resolution, increasing skin cell production, and alleviating itching. It can also boost production while decreasing itchiness.

CBD may help to alleviate oxidative stress associated with psoriasis by protecting membrane lipids and decreasing levels of oxidative metabolites like 4-HNE and 8-isoprostanes produced in keratinocytes from patients, respectively. Furthermore, increasing aquaporin-3 activity leads to improved water retention for greater hydration of skin resulting in decreased plaque size.

Pain

CBD may help with pain caused by arthritis, fibromyalgia, chronic headaches and even cancer-related pain. A few small trials have also demonstrated its potential use in relieving anxiety and depression associated with these conditions.

OTC cannabis-derived medicines may help increase endocannabinoid levels and slow their breakdown, providing longer-acting pain relief. Furthermore, studies indicate it may improve sleep quality and decrease inflammation.

Those considering CBD for pain should first consult their physician. When selecting a product that contains organically grown ingredients from within the US, as well as being approved as pharmaceuticals or dietary supplements and tested using validated and standardised testing methods by a laboratory is ideal. It’s also wise to keep a journal and track results, in order to pinpoint which method best works for you.
