Wellness products are designed to enhance a person’s overall health and well-being, often by using natural ingredients free from toxic substances that could pose risks to human health.

As the wellness space is highly crowded, many products do not satisfy consumers’ needs – particularly among millennials and Black consumers.

Natural products

People increasingly rely on natural products as wellness solutions, including dietary supplements, herbal remedies, and organic cleaning supplies made from plants or recycled plastic bottles. These alternatives to traditional products may be better for both your health and the environment; however, you should consult your physician first in order to make sure these won’t interfere with any prescription or over-the-counter medications you might already be taking.

Natural products may cause side effects and their long-term effects are still unknown. Furthermore, their production processes vary between manufacturers – this could alter how well they work as well as make them more or less effective than their synthetic equivalents.

Natural wellness products provide multiple advantages, including availability, cost and safety. While transitioning to natural products may seem overwhelming at first, starting off small and gradually including more organic items into your routine is best. Try switching over to organic hand soap and body lotion.

Better for the environment

Natural products made with organically grown, harvested and manufactured ingredients can also help decrease the amount of synthetic ingredients entering our environment. Synthetic ingredients may act as hormone disruptors which disrupt our hormonal and neurological systems; while using natural and organic products is much better for ecosystem health as it allows plants and animals to flourish without facing chemical-related issues.

General wellness products with no claims to treat diseases or conditions should be used for weight management, improving sleep, relaxation, stress reduction and physical fitness. Examples include exercise equipment and audio recordings but no devices intended for infiltration or implant.

Make an impactful change today: to recognize nontoxic products, look for the EWG Verified seal or MADE SAFE label; both recognize nontoxic items. In addition, try to steer clear of products containing toxic chemicals which could harm our bodies and the environment – including petroleum-based chemicals and synthetic fragrances.

Safe

Wellness products can help improve sleep, relieve stress and enhance overall health and well-being. When selecting products suited to your individual needs and lifestyle, look for natural ingredients with short ingredient lists; products containing lots of chemicals should also be avoided. It’s advisable to test products first on yourself first!

FDA guidance documents outline two specific ways in which it does not regulate general wellness devices that do not reference diseases or conditions: one is when devices promote or track choices that can reduce risks related to chronic disease and conditions such as heart disease, high blood pressure and diabetes; or track devices that promote or track behaviors which promote or track behaviors which “may help lower risks associated with certain chronic diseases and conditions”, like cardiovascular disease, high blood pressure or diabetes.

Exercise equipment, music and audio recordings, video games, personal fitness trackers and personal health monitors. However, it does not include devices which pose significant risk of harm to other persons such as brain stimulation devices and nerve stimulators devices.

Effective

Wellness products help improve health in numerous ways, from filling nutrient gaps in one’s diet, boosting energy levels and sleep, or relieving stress and anxiety to providing support for people working towards their wellness goals with online fitness classes and virtual therapy sessions that offer convenience and accessibility for people with disabilities or mobility issues.

Wellness market innovation and growth has experienced rapid surge, but our research reveals that many consumers’ needs remain unfulfilled – in particular with respect to mindfulness, nutrition, and appearance products. Brands can thrive by providing targeted, thoughtfully differentiated, tailored and effective solutions.

By stocking natural wellness products in your store, you can attract shoppers looking for healthier ways of living. From essential oils to eco-friendly home items, offering these wellness solutions will help enhance the lives of your customers without breaking their budgets or health goals.
